RiserLoop is a business-to-business fire deficiency intelligence service operated by KPT Industries, LLC ("KPT Industries," "we," "us," or "our"), 4700 S. Mill Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85282. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use RiserLoop and related services (the "Service").
1. Scope and roles
This policy applies to information we handle as operator of the Service, including information about website visitors, account users, and people whose information appears in Customer Data. When you use the Service for your employer or another organization (a "Customer"), that Customer controls its workspace and Customer Data. In that context, KPT Industries generally processes Customer Data on the Customer's behalf as its service provider or processor. The Customer is responsible for its notices, permissions, and instructions concerning that data.
2. Information we collect
Information you or your Customer provide
- Account and business-contact details, such as name, business email, company, role, and authentication information.
- Workspace and operational records, including inspection reports, deficiencies and findings, asset or site identifiers, proposals, work orders, invoices, communications, and closure evidence such as notes, documents, and photos.
- Billing and subscription information. Payment information may be handled by a payment provider; we do not need to receive full payment-card numbers to provide the Service.
- Support requests, feedback, and any information you choose to send us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage, log, diagnostic, device, browser, and IP-address information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Cookie and similar-technology information necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and service measurement.
Do not upload information that is unnecessary for the work at hand, including Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, health data, biometric data, or other sensitive personal information. Inspection and closure evidence may contain personal information incidentally; Customers should minimize that information and apply their own access controls.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service;
- Organize, search, correlate, summarize, and present Customer Data;
- Generate workflow assistance, suggested summaries, and other Service output at a user's request;
- Process subscriptions and communicate about accounts, service notices, and support;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
- Improve the Service using aggregated or de-identified information; and
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use Customer Data to train a public or third-party model. If we use a provider to process Customer Data for a Service feature, we require it to process that data only to provide the contracted service to us.
4. Automated assistance and human review
RiserLoop may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to help identify patterns, group records, extract details, draft summaries, or suggest next steps. These outputs can be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for a particular site or condition. They are decision-support tools only.
RiserLoop does not make autonomous fire-safety, code-compliance, inspection, repair, billing, employment, or other legal or similarly significant decisions. A qualified human must review the underlying records and exercise independent professional judgment before any action is taken. Customers remain responsible for decisions, approvals, notifications, repairs, and compliance with applicable requirements.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to provide the Service or as described below:
- Within a Customer workspace: authorized users and administrators can access records and activity permitted by that Customer's configuration.
- Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, authentication, payment, communications, support, analytics, and AI-processing providers that act under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal and safety reasons: where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, users, or the public, investigate fraud, or respond to an incident.
- Business transfers: in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy or notice of a material change.
6. Retention, security, and international processing
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet Customer instructions, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and maintain security. Customers may control retention for their workspaces through their agreement or available Service settings. Residual copies may remain in routine backups for a limited period before deletion or overwriting.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system or transmission is completely secure. The Service may process information in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing of your personal information. You may also opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe mechanism in the message.
If your information is in a Customer workspace, direct your request to the Customer first; it controls that data. We will assist Customers as required by our agreements and law. For information KPT Industries controls, submit a written request to the address in Section 10. We may verify your identity and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. You may appeal a decision by writing "Privacy Appeal" to the same address.
8. Cookies and signals
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to operate and protect the Service. You can control cookies through your browser, although disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working. Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is no sale or sharing for a Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of; we nevertheless honor applicable opt-out preference signals as required by law. We do not respond to legacy Do Not Track signals, for which there is no uniform standard.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us using the address below.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means and update the dates above.
